– Lifestyle: Studies and informs the reader about various ways of life and ways they could improve or change their lives. Topics such as becoming vegetarian or increasing the amount of exercise you do
– Celebrity ‘gossip’: Similar to journalistic but it instead covers stories on primarily celebrity life and drama. Things such as relationships, break-ups, and celebrity opinions.
– Informative: Informative magazines usually specify in a topic in which they then explain and inform. For example; cars, insects, or the solar system.
– Interviews: Magazines that cover interviewing subjects and recording the information or data gathered from the subject in a magazine.
– Editorials: An editorial magazine is a magazine that will inform the reader about a subject and give them both sides of the story without trying to sell them on something or appeal to a brand. Usually written by a higher up at a magazine corporation
– Humorous: A magazine that is meant to be comedic and for entertainment purposes, usually contains cartoons or parodies.
– Reviews: A magazine that evaluates a tool,subject, or service and gives a response or opinion about it based on the experience.
– Competitions: A magazine that covers a competition between different subjects such as a political campaign.
