Representation of Age

The Office is a comedic based mockumentary revolving around the situations in an office workplace. Since it is a comedy based show there are a lot of jokes that are at the expense of others. Age is not an exception to this.

Some of the jokes are not just based on the obvious old age of people like Phyllis, but also the young age of people like Ryan or the group of new hires that join the cast later on.

This is one of the new hires pictured on the right, Clark. Clark is a young person and becomes basically an office servant for certain chores and tasks that need to be done. He even gains the nickname “Fart” because his name somewhat rhymes with it as an insult.

We see a similar situation with Ryan Howard. Ryan started out as an intern who was looked down upon for his age, being a young kid in an older dominated workplace. He even had his work station placed inside a storage closet at one point. He later rises to the top working for Dunder Mifflin’s corporate where he is ranked above everyone in the workplace.

Extreme long shot: Shows more of the surroundings and begins the running scenes. Not very hard to film. 6. Wide Shot: The only real problem was that people kept walking by, it establishes the student running more 7. Medium Long Shot: Keeping the subject within the range of medium long shot was challenging while moving.  8. Low Angle Shot: This shot was easier than expected to make, it shows the subject going into the classroomm so we can transition into there 9. Over the sh...
